The King Returns

God is KING! King by right, for He is the Creator of the universe and Jesus came to bring salvation to a world that was standing under the judgment of that same God and that same King. He did not come to bring peace but a sword, for He said, ‘If you love father or mother or son or daughter more than you love Me – you are not worthy to be Mine,’ ‘and if you refuse to take up your cross and follow Me you are not worthy of being Mine,’ not worthy to be His and not worthy of Him.

For Jesus Christ made us acceptable to God, making His God our God and His Father our Father, even His life our life…

He became for us wisdom from God, and for our benefit God made Christ to be Wisdom Itself… giving Himself to purchase our freedom – dying to give birth to the church – raised to life to give glory to God… so he who wishes to boast should boast in what the Lord has done; not what the church has not done and not what the world can never do…

Boast in the Lord our King, for since the world began no ear has heard, no eye has seen a God like ours who works for those who wait for Him… creating a new Heavens and a new Earth so wonderful that no one will ever think about the old one again… for His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets, and yet we do not see them unless we are looking deep into He who is Love, being as one standing on the edge of creation before it began, looking deep into the face of what is only possible with God… what is only possible with the Lord, the Lord who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness.

For when He said, ‘Let there be light,’ this light was the brightness of the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ… that is why there is no darkness that can overshadow the Light, which has come into the world, for the brightness of His glory was given to shine in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the Glory of God, the one true God who calls what is not, as if it is – and it was He who invited us into this wonderful friendship with His Son Jesus… a gift too wonderful for words –

A gift so wonderful, that the full revelation of it reigns sovereign and supreme in the realm of only the thought life of God Himself –

This indescribable, indestructible gift of Jesus, and this gift of Christ in us, is the reason why the whole of creation bows in worship, bows in repentance in worship of Him – in repentance before Him that there ever was a need for such a sacrifice to give such a gift of Christ… even Christ in us… God’s hope of the glory He is seeking.

Yes, worship and repentance from all of whom the Maker has put His hand to and gave His breath into and lay His life down for… for only the God who is the only true God would sacrifice Himself, His Life, His Holiness, for what could now come from pre-existent glory into the glory of the Age to come… for such it is that is in store for those who see past the shadow and look to see the full Image of what no eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and no mind conceived, and no heart experienced… let alone what any man who was made a little lower than God, a little lower than the angels, has ever lived in the same way that only God can live its fullness. To live the life of glory in the glory that God alone is seeking… THAT is the fullness of life ! Life in the full for those who are His Image complete… His glory fulfilled!

For this indescribable gift of Jesus, which could only have its description if we had the language that only the Spirit understands, is the height, width, depth and length of what can now come when all things are made new… for only then, in the age of Eternity, will a place be able to be prepared for what even now the present Earth and heavens cannot hold.

For how great it is of which Jesus carried to the cross for His Father and of which will never see death but will always be the revelation of the Divine Life of the Eternal One… the revelation of all of the deeds of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit ~

The revelation of what it took – what it is – what it means to have Christ in us… what it means to have God as our only true God and as our only true Father ~

And it is our sacred blessedness that we are forgiven and swept into eternity by the One who is true… the One who is humility in its divinely perfected pre-existent form… the One who is so gracious and yet also so grateful… humble in giving and gracious in receiving…

For no other can pay the price that is demanded for the life of another except the One who knows the Life that is held in the blood – The One who knows the value of the Life who is Jesus ~

For God’s enemies cannot redeem themselves from death by paying a ransom to God, for the way to life was scorned and ridiculed, for the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is the power of God to save to those who are repenting ~

And so blessed we are that each day we are carried in His arms ~

That each moment we are held back from the fires of hell ~

That each second we are covered in the blood of our King… covered in the Holiness of our Maker… covered in the Grace of our God…

For Powerful is His arm… strong is His hand… unyielding is His love, but defined in justice it is by those who stand already condemned because they have not believed in the Name of God’s One and only Son brought into the flesh and into holy revelation by the eternal power of perfect love poured out through the Spirit of Grace Divine ~

Oh, to be humbled by God’s grace… to know the depth of Grace so divine, for the depth of it brings us to our knees, for so humbling is the perfect Grace of God… it is why humility is the evidence of His perfecting grace in us…

For it was the Lord’s great mercy that was revealed to the first man Adam when sin entered God’s creation through him, but it was the Grace of the Perfect One that was revealed to Adam’s first son Cain when sin came crouching at his door.

For as time went by, Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord, but Abel brought to the Lord the firstborn of the flock and their fat portions, and the Lord looked with favour and respect on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering He did not look on with favour or respect for it had come from the ground of which God had cursed. So Cain was glowing with great anger, indignant and with his face downcast. And God asked him why he was angry and why his face had fallen… And said to him, ‘You will be accepted if you do well and respond in the right way – for if you do well is there no exaltation? But if you do not do well or refuse to respond correctly… WATCH OUT!! For sin is crouching at your door and is wanting to attack and destroy you for its desire is to have you but you must subdue it – you must master it – and you must rule over it… now you should return to your brother and he shall be subject to you.’

And this was the Lord’s grace to Cain, that even though he and his offering was not looked upon with favour or respect by the Lord, the Lord was now offering to him an opportunity to give Him now a superior offering than that of righteous Abel.

For when God’s perfect Grace is upon us when we have not done what is right, not responded to Him in the correct way, falling far short of what He will accept… He is desiring to exalt us through our humility before Him, not humble us because of our pride before Him, for it is His perfect Grace that brings the humility before exaltation – bringing to us the renewed desire to respond to Him in the correct way and to do what is right in His eyes.

This was the gracious opportunity given Cain, that if he listened to God as He gave him the revelation of mastering sin as opposed to being a slave to sin, and obeyed His words as he went back to his brother who was to be subject to him, then he would have given unto God the better offering even than that of righteous Abel –

For to obey is better than sacrifice and to listen is better than the fat of rams, and he would have not only received respect, regard and favour from God but also exaltation as God said, ‘For if you do well then, is there no exaltation?’ But Cain was not humbled by God’s grace but remained proud, angry and disobedient before Him, and through that moved into becoming a murderer and a liar and a son of the devil instead of a son of God.

God’s grace to us is to humble us, so that He can exalt us…

But… Oh… to be humbled by God’s grace so He can be exalted by our offering to Him that which is of the better and then of the best, for when God exalts us through our humility before Him, we are exalting God who is Humility Itself…

For such is the Grace by which we have been saved through faith in Jesus alone that if we only listen and do exactly as we are commanded, then we are permitted to come into the exalted stature of Jesus who came to us full of God’s perfect Grace and powerful Truth – For it is not what we have been commanded to do, but only that we do it exactly as we have been commanded… such simplicity and yet so complex is the outcome… for as God through Jesus Christ exposed Himself to death, so we now through Jesus Christ are being exposed to Life…

And all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who His children really are ~

For to reveal who we really are is to reveal what He really is still yet to be, for He is the Revelation of our purpose, the revealing of our destiny, and He will not be limited –

Is His arm too short?

Are any boundaries held outside of Him?

So now in all things we will overwhelmingly conquer and be more than conquerors, gaining an overwhelming and surpassing victory through Christ who so loved us ~

For God will be proved right in what He says, and He will win His case in court because human opposition only enhances His glory, for He uses it as a sword of judgment and judge He will, for the One who came from Heaven with the words of eternal life carried the weight of the cross through the dust of the Earth as the reviling and blaspheming of Him and the Name of His Father tore at Him unceasingly, accusingly, as they hated Him without reason. For out of the ashes would rise the risen Christ, for on this Rock He would build His church and the gates of Hades would not prevail, for out of His death would also rise God’s Christ in us, God’s hope of glory, the hope of the glory of being with others of His own kind, with others just like Jesus.

Just like Jesus who had a baptism to be immersed in when He said, ‘How am I compressed and how I am straitened till it is finished,’ for the gate is narrow and the way is compressed and straitened – hard and difficult that leads away to life and few are those who find it, few are those who ever found on it, for that is the road that leads to Christ in us, which leads to God’s hope of glory… the road of passion for perfect completeness… and with everything we have, never can we surmise that we now can come near the glory of any of the majesty held in the age of the Eternity of God… never can we assume that what we may come to know in this age and in the age to come that it will intercept prematurely the revelation of what God has so planned and poured into the miracle of all things made new… Such is the entrance of the pavilion of His splendour as He takes His place in His New Jerusalem… as He takes His place in all things that He has made new… and all creation will be in silent awe… all creation will be still and know that He is the God of all the Ages now, then and forevermore.

For never again will we take another thing from Him, and most certainly not the joy of revealing God as He is still to be… as God the Gracious and the Awesome One disrobes… Father, Son and Holy Spirit as They really are in the light of the brightness of His glory… never will word unwritten or untranslated prematurely come into the brightness of the light. For never will the way of the meeting of God with one or ones of His own kind be revealed in this age or the age to come, for God as He really is with those who are as they really are will be robed in holy separation unto Him …for it is the revealing of who we really are within the revelation of what God is still yet to be – purchased with His lifeblood so long ago and hidden so far in Jesus that without the Spirit who searches the deep secrets of God unfolding the glory of its revelation, it will remain unseen, unknown, and without comprehension, held so far from the entrance of all comprehension and understanding, so deep in the sealed scrolls of eternity past that it will be not in our world of existence, for that alone is HIS… His joy, His glory, His honour, His majesty, His anticipated dream of such long standing, once sealed by the entrance of sin, now opened by the appearing of Jesus.

And no eye that is not as the eye of God, and no ear that is not as the ear of God, and no mind that is not as the mind of God, and no heart that is not as the heart of God, and no son who is not as the Son of God, will experience the majesty of the most poignant moment of all the ages – when the sealed revelation of the Father whose Name is Jesus, of the Son whose Name is Jesus, and of the Holy Spirit whose Name is held in all things made new, is unsealed and given its awesome revelation ~

Then there will be the SILENCE of pure awe… the awe of the Awesome God…

This moment, which is sealed in eternity past, the unspoken, sealed revelation, was the joy and the strength that took Jesus further and deeper in those hours on the cross… in those last seconds on the cross… and which was ever present even as He continued to do exactly as He was commanded in the midst of hatred and rejection by His own. For what He was bringing with Him to its place of destiny was all about God fulfilled – God satisfied – God revealed – and even Jesus had not walked this road to the cross of salvation, resurrection and revelation before…

He had never been the way of sinful flesh nor the way of being the atoning sacrifice –

So if we want to know about walking the razor’s edge, then look to see, listen to hear, and follow to obey Jesus, for He too was doing what He had not done before; and going where He had not been before, and the razor’s edge was even sharper for Him than it is for us for He was perfection being made more perfect… the sinless One who was to be made sin… the only One who could bring God into what He was still yet to be… for only His blood could open the seal of its revelation…

And He is the masterpiece of the mastery of walking the razor’s edge.

The mastering of walking the razor’s edge, the cutting edge of Word, is to listen and obey, doing exactly what God has commanded us to do no matter what, then the world will learn that we love Jesus and not the world, and that we do exactly as He has commanded us and not what the world would desire of us…

For there was no inaccuracy in Jesus, for He said and did nothing on His own, for only with God was salvation possible, reconciliation given, and resurrection viable.

If we want to know how sharp the razor’s edge is, then walk it as Jesus walked it with His Father, listening to the One who knows the end from the beginning, the One who knows how sharp the Sword of the W/word is… for that sharp razor’s edge took Him to a roman cross and then to where He would prepare a place for us so we could be with Him where He is, and where He is, is in the fullness of the revelation of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

And no one walked it more acutely than Jesus Himself, for what He alone said and did, taught and preached, would determine the destiny of the whole of His creation… So each step was walked in the commands of the Father who was greater than He, irrelevant of what was going on around Him and happening to Him, for He knew that it would lead to the outcome for which He was sent. For even He had not been on this road before to know it by experience, so He walked it in the strict discipline and love of the Father, even unto death, for this was the command given Him… And it was razor sharp! Because its purpose was to turn us from the power of Satan back to God… back to the power of Christ in us… For it was not what we had become because of sin, but who we now are because of Jesus who listened and obeyed as a Son listening to His Father, as a Man obeying the commands of His God, for the word that saves penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, judging even thoughts and attitudes of the heart, for nothing is hidden from God to whom we have to give an account to…

And every word and the practice of every word keeps us on a edge so sharp that to listen to another, to practise what another says, will also change the outcome of the task we are given to do just as it would have Jesus ~

And just as the work of Jesus was to save the world from perishing, so it is ours to prepare that same world He saved for His return by listening to Jesus to hear the Holy Spirit so as to obey His supervision of the way we take such powerful words and teachings of our Master and put them into practice. Otherwise the practice is without power, the listening is without hearing, and perfection is no where to be seen… and by His grace we are not humbled…

For the perfect blood of Jesus is not crying out for vengeance, BUT crying out for repentance because the Kingdoms of Heaven and of God are near… repentance and not blasphemy… turning back to God and not turning God’s house into a den of thieves or into a common marketplace….

‘Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three day,’ Jesus said to the Jews who asked for a miraculous sign to prove His authority.

And crucify Him they did, with every breath of life they had, they endeavoured to destroy the Temple of God ~

But this Temple of God was God… was His Word… was His Son, and even though Heaven and Earth will pass away, the words of Jesus will never pass away…

But no one adheres to His message, to His word of repentance, so the Father will avenge His Son who has come in the flesh because He is the standard – the measure – the plumb line – the extra mile – the Overcomer – the Victory…

HE IS God’s mercy… HE IS God’s grace… HE IS God’s perfect passion… HE IS the price paid… HE IS the razor’s edge… HE IS WORD that never perishes, and HE IS the One out of whose mouth does come the Sword that divides even soul and spirit…

And to the very last breath Jesus accommodated them… accomplishing all of which He was made flesh for… all of which He was sent for…

Hour after hour… minute after minute… second after second… until it came finally to the last sixty seconds… the final sixty seconds before He lay down His life… for this was the command given… and those sixty seconds were for Him the hardest of all the hours which had preceded it…

For the more His work of redemption neared its completion, the further He had to go… the higher He had to reach, the deeper He had to forge… the more He had to endure, the harder He had to search…

Further did He have to go for what was required of Him –

Deeper did He have to go for what was commanded of Him –

More did He have to endure for what was still to be released from Him –

Harder did He have to search for what was still undone by Him –

Total darkness… total isolation… total commitment to His God… betrayal by men and forsakenness by God did not shut Him down but only perfected Him more… opened Him more… with everything uncovered and laid bare before Him and His God… it was further, deeper, higher, harder for the purposed outcome, for this was the total and consummate joining of the divine and human nature in One Person until it was finished… until God was satisfied.

And nothing was not held from His flesh nor held from His mind… His whole Being the embodiment of past, present, and future… His flesh racked with unbearable, excruciating pain… His heart heavy… His mind flooded with every thought, for there is no end or beginning to Him, and He held the all of creation within Him and nothing was not revealed before Him… everything rushed forward into the present in those last FINAL seconds, and it consumed Him as everything that ever was and ever will be passed through His mind as His flesh was breathing its last.

The height of God… the depth of redemption… God in His glory… man in his depravity… the Spirit’s grief… the Father’s longing… the world as it was formed… the breathe of the Spirit as He breathed life… the hand of God as He fashioned man… the fallen image, the raised Christ… the first day, the last day… the first rebellion, the final rebellion… God betrayed… God’s forgiveness… Jerusalem desolate… the glory of the New Jerusalem… It was a Man wrestling with God… such agony as the flesh and mind wrestled with the entire magnitude of all and everything that was created by Him and through Him and for Him – Everything that ever was – all that was to come – all of what God what still yet to be… all of everything flooded the members of His flesh and His mind as He worked to its completion the work of redemption… being lifted up and drawing all men unto Himself… drawing all men unto their God and Creator…

Jesus, who holds all things within Him, was being glorified and was glorifying His God and His Father in Him… He, who is from eternity past, reached out to the sinful world as the Divine and human nature joined in this One and only sinless Man, and the God of God was glorified and all of which the Word of God was made flesh for was accomplished…

For it was Now… salvation by way of grace through faith in JESUS CHRIST, the Lord and Saviour of all,

Jesus, reached out to the present world and touched it with the glory of another… the world which is still to come.

For it was a criminal’s cross before a Kingly crown… Humiliation before exaltation.

Jesus entered into His own creation to establish His Kingdom, and for it to be filled with ones who were purchased not by mere gold or silver but by the blood of the King… the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless spotless Lamb of God… chosen by God for this purpose long before the world began.

And we triumph through Him over our fears and open ourselves to Him, for the nearer it comes to the arrival of our King, the harder it will be for us… for further we will have to go for what is required of us, deeper will we have to go for what is commanded of us, more will we have to endure for what is still to be released from us, and harder we will have search for what is still undone by us…

Deeper, higher, further and harder for the more of what it will take to walk the road He walked… to stay on the razor’s edge of His word, for nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight – everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account to.

Total darkness… total isolation… total ALLEGIANCE to our Lord and King…

For persecutions, betrayal, abuse, imprisonment, floggings, reviling, scorn, rejection, and murderous attempts on our life will not shut us down but open us up even more to display His grace, His mercy, His compassion, His holiness, His love, and HIS RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT!

Always watching and praying that we have the full strength and ability to be accounted worthy to escape all the things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.

For the road is narrow and small… the razor’s edge sharp and defined… the sword of His word penetrating and dividing… and when the Lord walked the road that brought glory unto God and salvation unto all, six inch nails were driven into His feet… driven into His hands… a sword pierced His side… as He was slandered and cursed until the very last second of His life… and if the last sixty seconds on the cross was the hardest for Jesus, then the final sixty seconds before He arrives back on this Earth will be even more the very hardest for us…

That’s the road we walk with Him ~

That is why He says count the cost of following Him, and we must…

But do we ever count the cost to us if we do not, if we choose what seems to be the easy way, the broader road, the path on which the many are found?

FOR what will it cost us when what it will take to follow Jesus seems higher than the cost of what it is to not? What is the cost to us when we keep our soul from reaching for the One it belongs with… the One it yearns for… for our soul to not commune with His at its most elite and fulfilling level is a cost to us which can never be compensated by not having to pay the price of following Jesus down the road of which is narrow and small, compressed and straitened… so narrow that few find it… so small and compressed that few are ever found on it… but that is where we will find Jesus.. on the razor’s edge, the sharp edge of the sword of the Living Word of God… and it is the only thing that can take us past the outer courts and into the Holy Place – the pinnacle of His Living Word escorting us into the Holiest of all the places found in God… into where God has always kept us… into where we were before we were formed in the womb… into where we communed with Him before the world began… into where the Lover of our soul communes with the soul He so loves… where God is who He was before sin came and took a part of His Life from Him… FOR it then took His Christ and His complete passion for God to restore all of which was lost by becoming Word in the flesh, Jesus the Son manifest.

For God not only has compassion on those who are lost to Him but He is passion complete, perfect passion, for passion perfects completeness… just as passion completes perfection… and we are not complete unless we are in CHRIST JESUS, the One who joined the Divine and the human nature, giving God His new creation.

And we will never, ever know in this age what that took.. what He really did.. what it did to Him.. what it took from Him.. what it demanded from Him… and what was commanded of Him… we will never know until the last sixty seconds of this age, the deeper, the further, the higher, the more that it took for Jesus to be able to say, ‘It is finished’ …and even then it is only a portion of what Jesus fully endured – a glimpse of what Jesus really holds in His Name, which is held above all other names… and then are we only standing at the door… in the entranceway of what is still to come… but at least we ran the race that would take us to the entrance of the all of Whom we have run the race for… for He was the only One who was so completely passionate about having Christ completely formed in us ~

So passionate that for Jesus, those last sixty seconds was six hours, was six days, was 6000 years permeating His flesh, His spirit, His heart, His mind, His soul… It changed Him and He changed us…

What He lived through and endured until the end in those last sixty seconds before He lay down His life was so we could live the outcome of Him doing exactly what the Father commanded Him… not for sixty seconds, not for six hours, not for six days, not for 6000 years, but live the outcome of His work of redemption forever… in the presence of God, in reconciled oneness, in unimagined glory, in surpassing wonder, amazement, awe, delight, love, joy, happiness…. knowing the ecstasy of the total fulfilment of the joining of our soul with God’s in the holiest of all communion…

Oh yes… JESUS is KING and there is no other…

And His return to claim back what is rightfully His is what we look to as we do exactly as we are commanded by Him… His joy, our strength – His Grace, our humility – His endurance, our ability to remain standing before the Son of Man when He comes in His Father’s glory with all the holy angels with Him.

Standing before Him in the fulfilment of the command given us as He finds the faith He is looking for, the overcomers He overcame for, the church He died for, the Kingdom He has returned for…

For the Lord of Glory is about to enter and the splendour of His Kingdom will be the splendour of standing before Him in the fulfilment of the commands given us, FOR our obedience to listen so as to obey brought us to doing exactly as He commanded us because we love Him with reason… we love Him because He is who He is and He loved us as we were… and because the world did know through us that Jesus was sent by the Father and that we were sent by Jesus and that the Father loves us just as much as He loves Jesus because we obeyed exactly as we were commanded just as He did… and so live to stand before Him in the fulfilment of the commands given us.

His wounds for us… our zeal for Him and His house… for only out of that can we desire to live what creation is waiting eagerly for… that future day when God reveals who His children really are… and creation will bow its knee and confess Him as the Lord of lords, the King of kings, the God of gods, the Saviour of all of creation, the One and only King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the One and only true God and Jesus, the Christ whom He sent, Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, everlasting Father and Prince of Peace…

For the Lamb has been slain and the blood of the King has purchased us for His Kingdom… purchased us with His blood that we may live in perfect accordance to His Name, His will, His nature… to live in accordance to His Passion for perfect completeness…

And the return to Him of His compassion… His passion for perfect completeness is when God receives back His Son, His life, His Holiness, and all His enemies are made a footstool for His feet as the age of all things made new takes its entrance.

God the Father glorified, and Jesus and the Spirit glorified in HIM.

For repentance Jesus came for… for the Kingdom of Heaven was near…

And we will know it is near and coming swiftly when we have to go further, deeper, higher, longer, harder to fulfil what we have already been commanded to do, if we are truly working for the honour of the One who sent us and truly walking the narrow road of the sword of the word with our only Master, with our only true Father and with the only Eternal Spirit…

ALL this made possible for us because our God was completely passionate and deadly serious about having Christ formed in us… God’s hope of the glory He was seeking ~

And such it will be when He reveals WHO His children really are… when He reveals the sons and daughters who are held in the fulfilment of His passion for perfect completeness –

For it will be Christ complete in us… God’s Glory fulfilled!

AMEN
