Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now My kingdom is from another place.” “You are a King, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a King. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me.”

If to those who say to Jesus, “You are a King, then!” Jesus replies, “You are right in saying I am a King,” then what will the reply be to those who say, “You are the King!” and want to make Him King? There is only one way to find out, elect, and that is to be those who say to Him, “You are the King!” and having said this, then proceed to carve out a kingdom for Him.

When Pontius Pilate first asked Jesus if He was the King of the Jews, He replied, “My kingdom is not of this world.” However, in His reply He included this: “But now My kingdom is from another place.” What then is this other place?

Firstly, it is a place other than the first, that is, a place of this world, for He first said, “My kingdom is not of this world,” and secondly, because He was replying to Pontius Pilate’s question – “Are You the King of the Jews?” – the other place Jesus was speaking of is a place from outside of the Jews as well. For not one of the Jewish disciples fought for Him nor did they acknowledge His Kingship, only His Lordship and His place as a Teacher. Certainly, none of those who were of Israel at His time wanted Him to be their King. Indeed, when Pontius Pilate had the sign – THE KING OF THE JEWS – placed, the chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, “Do not write ‘The King of the Jews,’ but that this Man claimed to be King of the Jews.”

As such, that different place Jesus was referring to… for you and me now… is the place that is outside of the realm of Israel and the Jews. It is the place of the gentiles… for it is not Jews but gentiles who are now saying to Him, “You are my King.” However, when Jesus said, “My kingdom…” He was not speaking of the Kingdom of God that belongs to the Father, but that of His own. However, until His Father is King, Jesus cannot be King, for it takes a King to make His Heir a King. So then, the Kingdom of God must come first, which is why when Jesus began to preach His own Gospel, He said, “The time has come. The Kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

His work of salvation and revelation of the Father was to lay the foundation of the Kingdom of God within us, His disciples. For He has said, even to non-disciples, “The Kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation… because the Kingdom of God is within you.” Unfortunately, though the foundation was laid by Him, no one went to see the plans God had for the Kingdom of God on the Mount of Transfiguration. God was not able to show the disciples the exact plans for the setting of the Kingdom of God as He had been able to show Moses the plans and the laws for the kingdom of Israel. At least Israel had a plan from God for the presence of God in their midst and the laws by which their kingdom would be run. Unfortunately, there are no such rules for the Kingdom of God, for no one went to receive them.

The words of Jesus in the Gospels are for those who need salvation and those who are chosen by the Father to be disciples so that together the saved may come to know God and Jesus, and the chosen may come to know the Father. What the Kingdom of God is like is described in the parables of the kingdom, yes, but what the Kingdom of God is was left to Paul to tell us… the one who was abnormally born, who was caught up to the third Heavens to see things and hear things not lawful for men to speak of. Not lawful because he was shown the things of the Kingdom of God, things that only the citizens of the Kingdom of God have the right to speak of. That is why it was Paul who defined for us what the Kingdom of God is, not what it is like as Jesus defined it, but what it is exactly – the kingdom of power and peace, joy and righteousness in the Holy Spirit.

Since the church itself is the body of Christ, that is, the church per se is the body of the King if Christ is its Head, but not the Kingdom of God as such. But from the church was meant to be established the Kingdom of God with its laws and rules, not church laws and rules, not even those described in the epistles, for the letters of the apostles were written to those who believed and are saved, amongst whom were some who had been chosen to know the Father, but not one letter was written to a church where the power of the Kingdom of God was in such flow that there had to be rules of conduct and laws that are particular to the governing of people who have miraculous powers constantly. Certainly, rules that also include the diplomatic conduct of the citizens of the Kingdom of God with those who are of the kingdoms of the world, even though the practice of the words of Jesus would reveal the proper way to conduct yourself as an individual when dealing with those who do not belong to the Kingdom of God.

So understand this then: There was a distinct absence of disciples who called Him King and wanted to make Him King, as the Scriptures reveal. Compare that with Israel where people wanted a king over them and with the people of Judea who wanted to make David king. There were none from within His group of disciples who called Him, “King,” when He was amongst them… only “Lord” and “Rabboni.”

So now, these words of Jesus find fulfilment in you who enthrone Him in your heart as King and want to see Him enthroned as King on the Earth in the flesh truly then, as He said, “But now My kingdom is from another place.” So have the confidence that comes from words that are superior to that which He gave Pilate, for Pilate only acknowledged Him as a King and not the King. Pilate could not, for that would be treason to his emperor.

However, those who now say to Him, “You are the King then,” stand in a far greater degree of righteousness that exceeds these words: “You are right in saying I am a King.” That is the righteousness of the Kingdom of God, which agrees with the Father, the King, that Jesus is the King of His own kingdom. And as He has finished His work of salvation and revelation and laid down that foundation for the Kingdom of God, so He has earned the right to have His own kingdom established.

That is why the Kingdom of Christ will come forth from the Kingdom of God on Earth and He can return to be King. As He told those who thought that the Kingdom of God was going to appear at once. He said: “A Man of noble birth went to a distant country to have Himself appointed King and then to return.” He Himself is that Man of noble birth, for what birth is nobler than One born of a virgin by the will and power of God and not by the will of fallen men?

He has gone back to Heaven – a kingdom out of this world, a distant place – and has been appointed King by His Father, for He has said, “…I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” Now what it takes for Him to be made King on Earth, what it takes for Him to take up the kingdom appointed for Him, is the power of the Kingdom of God to rise up and make the way, prepare the way, for Him… as He said, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” So now the Kingdom of God will rise against the kingdoms of the Earth in fulfilment of Jesus’ words. Understand this well so that you may know and not believe that which is arising out of you and amongst you is of God and not of men.

For when men and women are available to enthrone God as their King here on Earth, then the Kingdom of God is amongst them. And then the power of the Kingdom of God will be unleashed, made available, to establish the Kingdom of God on Earth and to enforce its will as it is done in Heaven, including establishing and making the Earth ready to become the Kingdom of Christ so that what John heard 1900 years ago from Heaven will be fulfilled in our days – “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever.”

Those who are in Heaven are waiting for when this Earth becomes the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Christ. They can only wait, for they cannot work on Earth as we who are (left) alive can. Disciples may pray, “…Your kingdom come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven,” but, elect, it is not for us to pray; it is for us to work and make it happen. That is why accorded to those who say, “You are my King,” is a righteousness far superior to that given to Pilate who said to Jesus, “You are a King, then!” And it is this righteousness that ensures the success… for it is “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” said the Lord.

The establishment, the successful establishment then of the Kingdom of God and of Christ on the Earth is dependant not on power nor on might, but by those who give transfiguration to the Holy Spirit so that He becomes the Spirit of Kingship, the Holy Spirit of the King.

And because you belong to a different kingdom, you are no longer governed by the laws or rules of the kingdom of Earth even though you may uphold them. You are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of God of which the laws of the kingdom of Israel are but a shadow and the laws of the Kingdom of Heaven are its spiritual predecessor.

So know and understand that Jesus, your King – who has planned and declared long before this day, “…kingdom against kingdom,” and to disciples He has said, “…suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Will he not first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?” – already knows whether He will succeed and what it will take to succeed. When and if the Holy Spirit Himself is transfigured to be the Spirit of Kingship in you, then all that was set aside to build the Kingdom of God so that the Kingdom of Christ may be revealed on Earth is made available.

So then, as much as the degree of power is related to the degree of authority delegated to you, which is governed by the degree of your submission, so the degree to which the power is accessible by you depends on the degree of your righteousness in Him.

Yes, righteousness comes by faith, not by works, that is eternally true, but the degree of your faith in Him, the extent of your faith in Him, determines the extent of your righteousness and therefore access to the degree of power.

If you have faith in Him as your Saviour, then the power to save you and others is there for your use. If you have faith in Him as your Teacher, then the power to teach you and others is there for your use. If you have faith in Him as your Lord and Master, your Friend, your Brother, it is likewise… that is the degree of your power to serve, to befriend and to live with Him. However, if you, regardless of where you are, even if you are a brother of His, would trust Him to be your King, then the power needed to make Him King is yours to use. You see, James, His half brother, did not even trust Him enough to make Him his Teacher, for he gave the law of Moses to be taught to gentiles rather than Jesus’ own words, much less trusted Jesus enough to make Him King, yet James was given a letter to be included in the public library of God.

How much more then the honour for those who honour Him and trust Him enough to make Him their King? How much the power will you have the right to? And if one angel could kill 185,000 men with one swipe, what can stand before you?

Elect, that is why the Spirit of Kingship gives you the right to success. (For if Jesus says, “You are right…” who is there to argue?)
