“He [the Holy Spirit] will bring glory to Me by taking from what is Mine and making it known to you.  All that belongs to the Father is Mine.  That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is Mine and make it known to you.”[1]

In the Light of the Resurrection, what belongs to the Father and therefore to the Son, are they not the Father’s hopes, dreams and plans to glorify His Name and Jesus’ plans to bring glory to the Father, many of which are dead or remain unfulfilled?  Jesus said, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.”[2]  “This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.”[3]

It is without doubt the plan of Jesus to glorify the Father through the church and it is the Holy Spirit who alone can make known those plans to us.  And if the plans are Jesus’ plans, then they are also the plans of the Father.  So, it is no wonder that at the end of the Alpha-n Apostolic Age, Jesus commanded the church seven times, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”[4]  Part of that plan to bring glory to the Father was surely to have all who believe in Him doing that which He had done, and doing even greater things[5] at such a level of perfect unity that the believers and disciples are one as Jesus is One with the Father.  …to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.[6]

After 2000 years of church history, there now remains a short period of time during which the Holy Spirit can raise up for Jesus a church that can do what He has been doing and also do the greater things… a church that would bring Him glory.  A church filled with overcomers for this is the Church of THE OVERCOMER Himself.  So we are not talking about a church revival, for to revive is to wake up one who is weak and faint so that they can continue their journey… or a church restoration, for a restoration is merely to give back to the church what it has lost, but you end up with what you started with… and knowing what we know now, with all respect to the alpha-n apostles, we do not want a restored church.  We need a resurrected church, a church that has none of the old weaknesses, but with all its original strength perfected, a church worthy of the Overcomer.

Given what we know about what is left of time, the years left before the Lord’s arrival and the 1000 year Millennium and then the end of this Earth, when does the Holy Spirit have an opportunity to display the church in its resurrected format with disciples of Jesus doing what He has done, and the greater things in perfect unity, a unity that is forged with the Holy Spirit with one goal and one goal in mind only, to glorify the Lord again?

Thus, see sharing in the Holy Spirit in the Light of the Resurrection as not just the Father and Son sharing the Holy Spirit, but us sharing in the Holy Spirit’s plans because we are not just baptised with Him but are baptised in the Holy Spirit.[7]

The Spirit of Sonship Himself now becomes the Spirit of Sonship of the Resurrected Lost Sons.  And now is the last opportune time left for Him before the arrival of Jesus to glorify the Father with the manifestation of the resurrection of the lost sons.  As He is taken out of the way so that the lawless one, the greatest of the antichrists who has ever and will ever walk the Earth, can be revealed, now is the time for Him to raise up brothers and sisters of Jesus who can resist him to glorify the Lord.  As it was said at the wedding at Cana, the best has been kept for the last.  It is in the darkness of these days of distress with the unholy duo, the Beast and the False Prophet, at their highest manifestation, that will provide the background for the saints to shine like the sun shines in the darkness of space.

It is no wonder then that you must be trained and practised in the recognition of the Voice of the Holy Spirit.  For it will not be the Father or Jesus who will be telling you what the Holy Spirit’s plans are to glorify the Lord in these last days, but the Holy Spirit Himself will speak to you, even telling you things that were too much for the first eleven to bear.  Thus it is a resurrection, not for you and me, but the truth is, it is a resurrection for the Holy Spirit, a resurrection of the days and times that had died when He, the Spirit, had disciples of Jesus who listened to the Holy Spirit and knew His Voice well enough that they could tell the difference between the Holy Spirit speaking and Jesus or the Father speaking.  Days when He had a church in Antioch where people were worshipping one day and recognised the Voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to them, so that it is written this way for us:  While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”[8]

To them it was the Holy Spirit who spoke because they recognised the Voice.  Compare that with Peter’s vision where Peter testified, “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision.  I saw something like a large sheet being let down from Heaven by its four corners, and it came down to where I was.  I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.  Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter.  Kill and eat.’  I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord!  Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’  The voice spoke from Heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’ [9]  Yes, Peter heard a voice, but whose voice, the Father’s or the Son’s?  However, at least Peter was able to also recognise the Voice of the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit said, “Simon, three men are looking for you.  So get up and go downstairs.  Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them,”[10] for Peter testified, “The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them.”[11]

Now when it comes to hearing and recognising Jesus’ or the Father’s Voice, Peter has the advantage over us or should have, for he was with Jesus for three years and he had heard the Father’s Voice on the Mount of Transfiguration, but as far as recognising the Holy Spirit’s Voice is concerned, the Holy Spirit was as new to him as He is to us until Acts 2.  So what I am saying is that it should be that we can recognise the Voice of the Holy Spirit far better than the Voice of Jesus and the Father, for it is the Holy Spirit who is with us and in us and we in Him who speaks to us, reminding us of what Jesus has said, guiding us into all truth and telling us what is yet to come.  As such, it should come as no surprise that the Holy Spirit is resurrecting a church like Antioch, a church that recognises His Voice so that He, the Spirit, can also do what He wants to instead of just reminding us of what Jesus said or what He has heard said in Heaven.

It was because the Antioch Church could recognise the Voice of the Holy Spirit by Acts 13 that the Holy Spirit could raise Paul and Barnabas up for His work.  This was an ability that the Jerusalem Church had lost by Acts 15, or they would never have listened to James the Younger’s recommendation.

Indeed, if the Sadducees were in error because they did not know the Scriptures or the power of God, then the modern day version of the Sadducee tribe generates error for they do not know the Holy Spirit or His power.  If He spoke, they could not recognise His Voice and so any voice that sounded good or wise, they followed.  So if Jesus found Paul’s church at Ephesus contaminated with Nicolaitan practices, the church at Pergamum polluted by the teachings of Balaam and the Nicolaitan, and Thyatira with Jezebel’s teachings, it should be no wonder to you or me that the present generation is even more polluted.

The loss of the ability by the churches to recognise His Voice has given rise to such fanciful doctrines as suggesting that the Holy Spirit left with the death of John the Beloved, and a fear in many quarters, of signs and miracles because as they will love to quote it, Jesus warned us, “At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there He is!’ do not believe it.  For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible.  So be on your guard…”[12]

Because they do not recognise the Holy Spirit’s Voice, they consider Him a stranger and when He displays His power, they think it is a work of the devil.  The only reason, listen… the only reason you can be deceived by false signs and wonders from those who come claiming, “I am He,” that is, by those who do miracles, drive out demons and prophesy in the Name of Jesus, is if you yourself do not know the power of God or the Holy Spirit Himself.  It is very simple really, a bogus doctor can fool the public, but it is unlikely he can fool the College of Physicians.  Likewise, a false prophet with signs and wonders can fool the ignorant, but they cannot fool those who are themselves the elect of the Holy Spirit.  The elect can be deceived if the elect cannot perform signs and wonders themselves, and ignorant Christians are frightened because they never bothered to come to know the Holy Spirit Himself.

You learning to perform signs, wonders and miracles yourself as Jesus did, under the supervision of the Holy Spirit, is the best safeguard I know against deception.  In the first place, if you can heal, you would not need to go to a healing ministry.  If you can drive out demons, you would not need to go to a deliverance ministry or buy their tapes or their books.  You would have your own testimony to confirm the Word of God and the Word of God to confirm your testimony.  You may fellowship with the others, sharing your testimony so that you can learn from each other or correct each other, improve each other and therefore perfect each other, but you would not be deceiving each other or be deceived by others.  Is it any wonder now that Jesus commanded His disciples to love one another as He loved us?

A fellowship of disciples provides the best safeguard against strangers bearing gifts, unless the disciples have lost their ability to recognise the Holy Spirit, like the council at Jerusalem.  Remember that a man’s enemies are from his own household.  Real lions and wolves know the difference between a lion and an animal that prowls like a lion.

As such, your training has been centred on listening to Jesus, to know and practise His word so that as you do so, the Holy Spirit can begin His work, which He was sent to do, to remind you of what Jesus said and make it known to you by telling you, which means speaking to you about what He has heard and what is yet to come.  The listening to Jesus and the practice of His words provides the opportunity for the Holy Spirit to speak as He was commissioned to speak, and an opportunity for you to then hear and recognise the Voice of the Holy Spirit.

If you are not listening to Jesus or practising His words, the Holy Spirit cannot speak to you for that is not His mandate, but can only correct you with His Presence or His absence, or with a feeling or sense of wrong doing appealing to your conscience, but He cannot speak.  So anyone, even if they have repented and believe in Jesus, who is not listening to Jesus and practising the words of Jesus, cannot develop the recognition of His Voice.  They may hear a voice telling them, “This is the way, walk ye in it…”[13] but they will not know who it is, beyond saying, “A voice told me.”  Knowing that Satan quoted Psalm 91:11-12 to Jesus sends shivers through my bones… to think of how often we can be deceived by a voice that comes bearing Scriptures that sound good and containing words that have not come from the Mouth of God.

Just as the Sadducees were badly mistaken because they did not know their Scriptures or the power of God, so now many are badly mistaken because they do not know the command nor do they practise the words of Jesus.  They may be doing things that seem good and sound good, but they are about as correct as the twelve disciples were when they got into their boat and headed off to Capernaum instead of going to Bethsaida immediately.

This resurrection is for the Holy Spirit, not for us.  We never knew what died, the Holy Spirit did.  The resurrection of Jesus was as much for the Holy Spirit as well, for the Holy Spirit alone knew Jesus and what died with Jesus; the disciples barely knew Him.  We do not know what the hopes and dreams of God were.  We do not know what the hopes and dreams of Jesus were.  We do not know what the church at Antioch was really like.  We do not know what died.  The Holy Spirit does and He alone knows what He is resurrecting, just as He alone knew Jesus whom He resurrected.  This time it is for the Holy Spirit, not for the present day church.  Indeed, it should not surprise you to be greeted by the rest of the church in the same way as the twelve greeted Jesus when He walked out to the middle of the lake where they were.

What passes for the church of Jesus Christ now never knew the church that recognised the Voice of the Holy Spirit so well that they knew it was the Holy Spirit who said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”[14]  You will not see the church that should have been by looking at the present church.  And as such, we cannot direct or decide what needs to be resurrected and what does not… only the Holy Spirit can.  As such, continuous submission to the Holy Spirit is the only way we can see and witness what the Resurrected Church of the Overcomer really should be in its completeness.

Scripture give us guidelines or the bones of what the Resurrected Church of the Elect will be.  It will be a church capable of doing what Jesus did, as well as a church that contains witnesses who can devour with fire from their mouths anyone who tries to harm them.  They will have people who can not only change water to good wine but also water to blood.  They will be a church who is not only capable of healing the sick, driving out demons, causing the blind to see, the lame to walk, but also who can strike the Earth with any kind of plague as often as they want.  They are not only a church that can raise up funds to relieve the disasters, they will be the ones who shut up the sky so it does not rain.  A church where people not only can raise up money to buy bread to feed 5000 people, but can feed 5000 people with one loaf of bread.

The Scriptures show us the bones, but it is the breath of God that will give life to the bones and flesh to cover the bones so that the full picture is revealed.  It is the Holy Spirit who will direct this.  He will not do it, no, He will direct it for He will be the One who says, “This is the way, walk in it,” but we will do the walking exactly as He says and we will do as He shows us, so that just as the Father had His Son who walked the Earth saying and doing what the Father showed Him, so the Spirit of Sonship will have sons and daughters saying and doing what He shows them.  Indeed, the Holy Spirit will resurrect a body worthy for Jesus to return to.  Amen.
