God is Justice.  He is the only Person who can give justice to men and to Himself.

Justice is given when a person is judged and he receives what he deserves.  When we cry out, “Justice for Jesus,” we acknowledge that Jesus has been judged unjustly and He has incorrectly received what He does not deserve.

If someone has suffered an injustice, he needs testimonies to prove the injustice so that he receives justice.  To put it simply in terms of worldly law, a man who did not commit murder but was sentenced and jailed as a murderer, has suffered injustice because he has received what he does not deserve.  To correct this, he needs testimonies to prove his innocence of murder and establish the injustice to free him.  So then he would need testimonies of an alibi, or evidence that someone else had possession of the murder weapon, for example.

Jesus said, “When the Counsellor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, He will testify about Me.  And you also must testify, for you have been with Me from the beginning.” [John 15.26]  Jesus said that the Spirit of truth will testify about Him and we also must testify, for we have been with Him from the beginning.

There are many testimonies about Jesus.  But it is written that let God be proved true and all men liars.  All men are liars because we do not testify about Jesus with the things of God in mind, and when we testify, are we working only for the honour of the One who sent us?

It is also written:  “…one Lord, one faith, one baptism…” [Ephesians 4.5]  One Lord – that is the Spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit.  One faith – that is faith in Jesus Christ – “For God so loved the world He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” [John 3.16]  One baptism – that is the baptism of fire and of the Holy Spirit – being baptised into the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  There is one God and one Father for all.

And there is only one Testimony – this is the Testimony of the Spirit of truth – and this Testimony is Jesus, Son of Man, arriving and reigning as King in the Kingdom of God.

There is no other testimony which gives justice to the Son of God because this is the only Testimony that is:

  • global
  • irrefutable
  • irrevocable
  • complete and
  • living.

Which means that this testimony is ABSOLUTE.

We testify as we are commanded, but most times these are personal testimonies and at best they may save souls and we have obeyed.

But it is the Testimony of the Holy Spirit we need and desire and pray for and agree with:  that justice is given to Jesus when He is back on Earth where the King should be.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one testimony means – we who are baptised into the Lord, the Holy Spirit, persevere with our faith in the Son of Man’s return to witness the Testimony of the Spirit of truth about Jesus Christ who has arrived.

AMEN Holy Spirit.  Come, King Jesus, come now.
