My Lost Ones

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.[1]  What was lost?  Is it not God the Father’s sons and daughters?  I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.[2]  For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of Sonship.[3]

How did the Lord God Almighty lose His sons and daughters in the first place?  It was in the beginning, in the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve first sinned by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil of which the Lord God commanded, “you must not eat from.”[4]  Is not sin basically doing what is unrighteous in God’s eyes?  Adam and Eve did not repent of their wrong doing.  From then on, mankind continued to be unrighteous in God’s eyes.  Sure there were a couple of righteous men recorded in the Bible, but is that good enough for my Lord?  Are we not part of God’s creation?  Did God the Creator not make man in His image and in His likeness?  Do we not rightfully belong to God the Owner then?

Even when God the Father sent His One and Only beloved Son Jesus Christ and commanded us to listen to Him, we not only failed to keep the one royal command, but we lost it soon after it was given.  Thank God that the royal command is still available to us through the Bible.  The Bible is the world’s best selling and most widely distributed book according to the Guinness World Records.[5]  Yet the church is still blind and deaf to the royal command.  The royal command of God the Father to the disciples of Jesus Christ in the New Testament is not hidden in parables, but written clearly in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke:  “This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.  Listen to Him!”[6]  Are you blind?  Are you deaf?  Do you not see?  Can you not hear?  Do you not understand?  That is why Jesus said, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”[7]  The church not only does not know the Scriptures for they do not know the royal command, but they also have no power.  Sure you hear or see a trickle of power here and there, but is that good enough for my Lord?

In Ezekiel, the Lord said, “For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I Myself will search for My sheep and look after them.  As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after My sheep.  I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness.  I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land.  I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land.  I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land.  There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.  I Myself will tend My sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign LORD.  I will search for the lost and bring back the strays.  I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy.  I will shepherd the flock with justice.”[8]

And then in John, the Lord said, “I tell you the truth, I am the Gate for the sheep.  All who ever came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.  I am the Gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved.  He will come in and go out, and find pasture.  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.  I am the Good Shepherd.  The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.  The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep.  So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away.  Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.  The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.  I am the Good Shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me— just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father—and I lay down My life for the sheep.  I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen.  I must bring them also.  They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd.”[9]

The thief is the devil who comes only to steal, kill and destroy.  The thieves and robbers are the devil’s sons and daughters.  The hired hand is the Shepherd’s worker.  The sheep are the sons and daughters of God.  Is it not the hired hand’s responsibility to look after and protect the sheep from the wolf that comes to attack and scatter the flock?  Should the hired hand not be like the One who owns the sheep and who cares about His sheep?  For Jesus said, “It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master.”[10]  Therefore, the servants should be like Jesus who laid down His life for His sheep.  His servants are also considered as sons and daughters of God because the Lord said, “Here is My Servant, whom I uphold, My chosen One in whom I delight; I will put My Spirit on Him and He will bring justice to the nations.”[11]  The Servant is none other than Jesus Christ who is the beloved Son of God.  So if Jesus is the Servant as well as the Son of God the Father, then the servants are also sons and daughters of God, and thus brothers and sisters of Jesus.  As sons and daughters of God, should you not care about your brothers and sisters?  Or do you want to remain as only a hired hand that runs away and abandons the sheep when the wolf comes?

Do you know when the thief comes to steal your Father’s possessions?  Do you even know or realise when the thief comes to steal your possessions?  I am not talking of worldly possessions, but of the gifts that the Lord has given you.  Are you sure that nothing has been stolen or killed or destroyed that is of yours?  What about my Father’s possessions?  What about His sons and daughters whom He loves who have been stolen or attacked by the enemy?  What else has He lost?  What else has been stolen from Him?  What has God been robbed of?  Do you even know or care?  Or are you like the Pharisee who prayed about himself saying, “God, I thank you that I am not like other men,”[12] and you only care that you are saved, but you do not care about the others of whom the Lord also loves?

Are you jealous for the Lord?  I am not talking about worldly jealously, but of Godly jealously.  Are you jealous for the Lord’s honour?  Are you jealous for the Lord’s glory?  Are you jealous for the Lord’s Name?  Are you jealous for the Father’s lost sons and daughters?  Do you take care of His sheep?  Do you feed His sheep?  Will you run away and abandon the sheep when you see the wolf coming?  Or will you stay and protect His sheep even if it means laying down your life for them?  Note that His sheep do not consist of believers only as He also spoke of other sheep that are not of this sheep pen.  The other sheep are those who will believe in Jesus.  Thus, these other sheep can be current unbelievers and current enemies of God, who will be changed into believers at one point or another.  Remember that we were all once enemies of God.  For God who is love, does not want anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.[13]  The Lord whose Name is Jealous wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.[14]  For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.  Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the Name of God’s One and Only Son.[15]  Amen Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, “Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another,”[16] and “Love your enemies.”[17]  So technically we have to love even His potential sheep as He has commanded us.  Jesus also said, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.  You are My friends if you do what I command.”[18]  So if His sheep do what He commands, then they are His friends.  And if they are Jesus’ friends, should they not be considered your friends too?  Do you not want to do the things that Jesus did and the greater things than that?  Since Jesus laid down His life for us, who were once His enemies, then we should not only be prepared to lay down our lives for our friends, our brothers and sisters in Christ, but also for our enemies, which should also include the enemies of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Going back to John 10:16, Jesus said, “…and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd.”  Jesus prayed to the Father, “My prayer is not for them [My disciples] alone.  I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You.  May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.  I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are One: I in them and You in Me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.”[19]

The current church is not in complete unity.  In fact it is in scatter.  Jesus said, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”[20]  The house of God is currently divided against itself.  How will it stand?!  The body of Christ must come to be in complete unity as part of the end game.  We have to be one as God, Father Son and Holy Spirit are One.  We have to achieve perfect unity in the body of Christ as the Holy Trinity is perfectly united.

We, as disciples of Jesus Christ, elect of the Holy Spirit, are to make the necessary preparations and set the end game in motion.  Be like Mary Magdalene who not only focused on listening to Jesus, but also made the necessary preparations, such as preparing Him for His burial.[21]  Do not be like Martha who was distracted by unnecessary preparations.  She came to Him and asked, “Lord, don’t You care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself?  Tell her to help me!”  “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed.  Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”[22]

Listen to Jesus whose words are Spirit and life,[23] for that is what God the Father commanded us.  Listen to the Holy Spirit for Jesus said, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”  The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything Jesus has said.[24]  The Holy Spirit will teach us about the end game – the what, where, when, who and how of the end game… everything that we need to know regarding the end game.  He will remind us of what the Lord said in Scriptures about the end game and He will tell us what is yet to come.[25]  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.[26]

A day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided among you.  I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped.  Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.  Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.  On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.  You will flee by My mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel.  You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.  Then the LORD My God will come, and all the holy ones with Him.  On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost.  It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime—a day known to the LORD.  When evening comes, there will be light.  On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter.  The LORD will be King over the whole Earth.  On that day there will be one LORD, and His Name the only Name.[27]

You have a choice:  either stay and do the work set before you or leave now.  Do not delay the Lord any longer.  However, if you choose to stay, you must not be idle or distracted anymore, but you must focus on the end game.  We must prepare this Earth and the body of Christ for the arrival of Jesus.  We must know what part we play in this end game of the Lord, the Lord, the Lord.  And we must play our part to the fullness of it even if we are merely a pawn in the game, so that the end game will play out exactly and precisely as God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, planned and imagined it.  The word of God must be fulfilled to the fullness of it.  Let God be true, and every man a liar.[28]

Do you want to carry on in this world for another fifty years or so and continue hurting my Lord, my Lord, my Lord, or do you want Jesus to come back as soon as possible?  Do you want to go to Heaven soon and avoid the days of distress unequalled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now, and never to be equalled again[29] and wait in Heaven while Jesus reigns on Earth for a millennium, or do you want to be part of the end game and greet Jesus upon His arrival and reign with Him for a thousand years?  Do you even know the differences between the first and second resurrection or are you still so dull?  Do you want to be able to go through the gates into New Jerusalem or do you want to stay outside as a dog?  The choice is yours.
