I would like to apologise for an error I made in my last word five weeks ago – God Cannot Sin.

I said, “The first law that man was given was, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” [Genesis 2.16-17]  When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they sinned, for they broke the law – the one command God gave them.”

I was wrong. The first law man was given was NOT, “…you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…”  And that was NOT the only command given to Adam and Eve.

According to the Bible, God gave man three commands before sin appeared:

  1. “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.” [Genesis 1.28]
  2. “Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” [Genesis 1.28]
  3. “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

I am very sorry for this blatant mistake of mine.
